My Values

My foundational conviction is HOPE! Above all things I know I serve a God who supersedes every veil of darkness, inequality, and injustice, for He is a God that is Light, a compassionate Healer and Restorer. Based on my belief as God being the Supreme Ruler and Creator of all things, I know the God I serve to be one of Love, Authority, and Reconciliation. It is through my understanding of God that I have come to value Community, Honesty, Authenticity, Truth, and Love.

I believe that the synthesis of these values within any group/establishment builds up vision, character, and a tone of excellence that resounds throughout any institution. Through Community comes Healing, from Honesty comes Peace, through Authenticity comes Creativity, and TRUTH and LOVE together Release Freedom, and a Soberness of mind.

I know the POWER of Authentic relationships in ones life. They have the ability to Strengthen, Heal, and Empower in a way that is unique and unlike anything medicine could provide. It is through the care and intention of such relationships in my life that I have come to attain and position myself in the calling I feel drawn to.

I want to do the same for others! I want other people to know me, as I desire to know them that we may walk this path alongside each other encouraging and pushing each other toward the common goal of equity and reconciliation to people, creation, and ultimately God.

I want to be a person that is UNWAVERINGLY Invested into the Call. I want to be a person that is equipped with the knowledge to respond to whatever circumstance may be at hand. I don’t value merely enthusiasm for a cause. Passion, though important, is not enough to carry a calling. Such zeal requires appropriate balance alongside preparation and careful study. I believe it is important for any skilled professional to perpetually reinvigorate their calling through academia, and re-examination. Therefore I seek out to do the same even now as I continue my work with children who struggle with various learning disabilities. I make it a point to reconnect with my calling by utilizing different sources that help provide strategy as to how I can more effectively spur growth in the lives of the children and families I work with. I value a toned work ethic that is continually being refreshed and developed. I intend to do the same in every field of work I participate in.

Friends and family close to me have characterized me as Compassionate, Understanding, Encouraging, Unique, and Counter-cultural. I hope to be a person whose life creates room for the broken to receive healing. My calling as a person that voices the need of those in need comes by listening and understanding. As a person who seeks out to make Hope a real part of their daily life, I believe listening and learning to value the stories of others is important. In doing so, we gain the knowledge and the footing to provide more efficient and "lasting" solutions to issues that are appropriately responsive, rather than reactive.

Overall, I value people being connected to their purpose. I desire people reconciled, people that no longer function as individuals but instead understand and operate as a healthy community. I hold swiftly to relationship, education, and being VISION-MINDED, because I believe that it is through these key values that people step into their true God-given potential and in doing so cultivate a space where Hope is real and measurable.
